| About Summer Courses and Training Awards Summer Courses The Ellison Medical Foundation has joined other funders in support of a summer course at the Marine Biological Laboratory, offering advanced “hands-on” training in molecular parasitology. This specialized course, open to graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and independent investigators, provides a unique training opportunity combining modern technical approaches with classical expertise in growth and manipulation of protozoan and helminth parasites. The current course offering is the Biology of Parasitism Summer Course Training Awards Training Awards related to aging and infectious diseases are available and encouraged. The Foundation supports a limited number of institutional training programs, through universities, professional societies, government institutions, or other non-profit organizations. These programs are intended to reach younger scientists, still in graduate or post-doctoral training, to nurture their interest in developing careers in aging or infectious diseases research.
